Furniture manufacturing is one of the most important markets for wood glues.
In fact, first there are various veneering operations on flat or curved surfaces, as we shall see, then all the assemblies, and finally some work, various gluing of foams, plastics on wood...
These different bonding operations use many different types of glue: vinyl, urea-formaldehyde, hot melts, neoprene, polyurethane, which is one of the advantages of furniture bonding.
The machines, too, are of different types and highly specialized by operation, as automation is de rigueur in order to achieve the high output rates found in the modern furniture industry. We'll be taking a closer look at these high-speed machines, most of which come from Germany and, to a lesser extent, Italy.
