3. Static load capacity
Certain applications can impose very specific operating conditions on the bearing: prolonged stoppages under load, slow rotation under load, slow oscillations without complete rotation (bridge crane, pivot, hoist, etc.). A static load applied to a stationary bearing can, if too high, generate permanent deformations at the track/rolling element contacts, which would be detrimental to the bearing's proper operation when rotating.
