INTRODUCTION
A torsional damper can be used to improve the vibration behaviour of shaft lines. However, this solution should be reserved for installations where direct adaptation of the stiffness and inertia distribution has not achieved the desired dynamic behavior. This article presents methods for pre-dimensioning tuned torsional dampers with elastic or viscoelastic coupling.
