INTRODUCTION
Most industrial machines are driven by rotary actuators: electric, thermal, pneumatic or hydraulic motors.
The coupling is a device that joins the motor to the receiver, as the two machines have virtually aligned shafts. It transmits the driving power to the mechanism to be activated. It is a standard commercial product that must be selected and adapted to each particular assembly.
Elastic couplings can be used to solve certain problems when connecting two shafts.
