ABSTRACT

This article deals with the usage of a Lagrangian measurement in heat flux measurement. Indeed, recent hydrodynamic approaches have demonstrated that the issues derived from the mixture are better understood when the movement of the fluid particles is followed, hence the interest of instrumenting the particle. under experimental conditions, these particles, passively carried by the flow, play the role of autonomous probes. They carry out real-time measurements and transmit the data by radiofrequency. The example provided is that of the thermal convection in which the instrumented particle measures the temperature variations of the fluid.

 INTRODUCTION

In hydrodynamics, recent approaches have shown that mixing problems can be better understood by following the movement of fluid particles. Experimentally, it is now possible to make real-time measurements using particles that are passively entrained with the flow, and which retransmit the data by radio frequency. The case described here is that of thermal convection, where the instrumented particle measures variations in fluid temperature.
