6. Regulations on Noise in the Workplace

To protect workers from the risks associated with noise exposure, specific regulations are in place. Directive 2003/10/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of February 6, 2003, concerning the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (noise) lays the foundation for the relevant regulations. This directive was transposed into French law by Decree No. 2006-892 of July 19, 2006, which created a specific section within the Labor Code dedicated to the prevention of risks associated with noise exposure.

Risk prevention is the responsibility of the employer, who must take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and protect the physical and mental health of workers. These measures include:
