The market for grain-oriented laminations is global. In this context, their commercial properties are governed by a standard established by the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC). A standard also exists at European level, drawn up by the ECISS, and adapted at national level by the French standardization system (AFNOR – UTE). Products are classified according to a defined nomenclature, and materials' properties of use are defined by standardized characterization methods.
