. An induction sensor is placed in the air gap of the magnetic circuit. It measures the induction field created by the passing current I. The role of the magnetic circuit is to focus the field in the air gap, which increases its sensitivity and limits the influence of the central conductor's decentralization. The magnetic circuit must have low losses to avoid overheating, and a low remanent field.
