8. Practical implementation of windings
Having examined in detail the properties of windings in relation to their construction, it is essential to consider the problem of their industrial production. This section is devoted to this question.
Low-voltage machines are usually wound using unordered enamelled cylindrical wire (random winding or mush winding). Each conductor, used to form the windings, is usually made up of several wires, or strands, in parallel. To optimize slot filling, these wires can be of different diameters.
