This report and the file covers protection against electric shock. In this section, we will discuss protection against indirect electric shock.

Protection against indirect contact is also known as fault protection.

It is ensured through the implementation of one or more of the following protective measures:

automatic power shut-off (§ 1 );
use of Class II materials (§ 2.2 ) or installation of equivalent insulation during installation (§ 2.3 );
electrical isolation (§ 2.4
