1.1 Global warming and CO2 emissions
Greenhouse gas emissions are very regularly the subject of media announcements in connection with climate change issues. Before discussing the impact of CO2 on our climate, it seems necessary to recall what the greenhouse effect is.
The diagram at 1 illustrates the exchange of heat that takes place on Earth. The sun emits relatively short-wave radiation in the visible or ultraviolet range.
