EEC Aggregator
A specialized intermediary that collects and consolidates EEC volumes generated by multiple entities (companies, local governments) to resell them in bulk to obligated parties. It generally offers negotiated prices higher than the market PMP and handles the preparation of application files. Using this service is particularly beneficial for SMEs with low individual volumes.
EEC (Energy Efficiency Certificate)
A certificate issued by the government attesting that an energy savings of 1 kWh cumac has been achieved. EECs are tradable on an over-the-counter market between the entities that generate them (beneficiaries of the energy-saving projects) and obligated parties, who must hold them to demonstrate compliance with their regulatory obligations. A single EEC can be counted only once.
