4. Monitor expected results
To analyze and monitor the action plan, your company must use energy performance indicators (EPIs). These are parameters that enable you to track progress in energy performance and the significant energy uses (SEUs) with which they are associated.
Internal audits must then be carried out at varying intervals to ensure that the actions taken are always in line with the defined policy. At the beginning of the process, audits could be carried out every quarter. As the system matures, the interval could be extended to once a year. Initially, these audits will be dedicated solely to the EMS, then combined with QSE audits once the company is fully up and running.
