5. When should you get started, and what about ISO 50005:2021?
Throughout this document, we have referred to both ISO 50001:2011 and ISO 50001:2018. ISO 50001:2018 is a revision of the previous standard, emphasizing key points such as:
roles, responsibilities, and authorities;
consultation and participation of employees;
actions in response to risks and opportunities;
operational planning and control;
monitoring, analysis, measurement, and evaluation.
