• calculate real energy requirements ;

• estimate the availability of the solar resource by calculating the surface area of the solar installation required, using the free PVGIS or SolarGIS software;

• Select photovoltaic solar panel suppliers, request quotes and compare the technical solutions and module prices required for each technology;

• Choose your supplier based on cost, available space, type of technology, photovoltaic panel lifespan, best product guarantee and best performance guarantee; monocrystalline, bi-glass silicon is the best choice among all existing panels;

• The same applies to charge controllers, inverters, batteries, sizing of connecting cables, transformers, protective boxes, lightning arrestors, photovoltaic electricity meters, electrolysers...
