Authorisation

Authorisation to place in service : Administrative Decision granted by a National Authority (NSA) to authorise a railway product to be placed in service. NSA delivers authorisation for placing in service on the national network.

Cant of track (superelevation)

The increase in height of one rail compared to the other to change the track crosslevel.

Certification

Conformity assessment of a product, usually performed by an independent body, based on a set of technical evidences presented by the applicant.
