3. Permanent state of operation

We have already encountered two states of motion that play a major practical role: the equilibrium state and the steady state. A third state is also frequently encountered: the steady state.

3.1 Practical impossibility of obtaining a stationary state

In many cases, it would be desirable to obtain a stationary state for the machine, i.e. θ ' = Cte. The general equation of motion shows that this assumption leads to : CI=Cteθ
