2. Environmental analysis

2.1 General principles of access functions

An access control system ensures the security of a site (building, equipment room, parking lot, etc.) by controlling entry and exit movements. The system's functions are based on permanent or configurable information, and can be divided into three main categories:

  • access functions including :

    • creation, modification and consultation of authorization lists ;

    • creation, modification and consultation of card invalidation lists ;

    • consultation of passage files ;

    • read and, optionally, write access cards.
