1.1 Principle

  Many managers are overwhelmed by the decisions they have to make every day. They know – or believe – that they have to deal with everything – and they'd like to do so – but they have a limited resource: "time". Even with 12-hour days, they couldn't get the job done.

  From a managerial point of view, the aim of management by exception is to lighten the workload while remaining efficient.
