7. Conclusion

Today, reverse logistics is of interest to many companies. Little by little, they are beginning to put in place a number of logistical approaches aimed primarily at recovering products at the end of their life cycle, in order to extract value from them and respect the environment.

They are also working hard on the returns generated by after-sales service, which can represent a real competitive advantage in terms of repair processing time (transport time, parts in stock, etc.).

It's true that reverse logistics is still in its infancy, and that companies still have a lot of work to do. Implementing reverse logistics involves a great deal of time and money, with little or no return at the outset, but it's important to bear in mind that it can pay off handsomely later on if management takes it seriously from the outset.
