4. ELU's role in urban logistics

4.1 Implementation framework

The increase in the urban population automatically leads to more trade. In addition, product marketing principles based on downstream management are leading to a fragmentation of shipments. Add to these realities the revitalization of city centers in recent years (which has been a priority for all political decision-makers), and the result is an increase in the flow of goods. As a result, they are taking on an ever-increasing role in traffic problems. In many cities (especially the larger ones), the number of people travelling by private car has stagnated, or even fallen.
