3. Cocuisson. Stratification

Cocuisson and lamination have the same requirements, and therefore the same advantages and disadvantages, as gluing.

  • Cocuisson

    In a single step, the composite and the adhesive joint are cured together, when the latter forms one of the part's layers, for example.

  • Stratification

    Joining by lamination consists in "gluing" a sheet made up of several plies of resin-impregnated fibers, straddling the two parts to be joined, the resin being polymerized either hot or cold, as shown in figure 2 .
