6. Conclusion

These few explanations may seem lengthy, but they are just a glimpse of the management problems that arise when implementing a major project. What's more, there are a number of unavoidable problems that should have been mentioned:

  • for costs, inflation, currency risks, economic trends that vary from one country to another;

  • for deadlines, social conditions and staff productivity;

  • for human relations, cultural misunderstandings, character incompatibilities, personal ambitions, conflicts of interest, demotivation of some ;

  • more generally, the political situation, international competition and uncertain productivity, even for expatriates.
