4. Status and social protection

As Kessler writes at , social protection is a "response to social risks and contingencies" that can lead to a drop in resources or an increase in expenditure. The term "social protection" (see Note) encompasses a number of different schemes that protect employees:

  • HEALTH INSURANCE;

  • accidents at work ;

  • occupational diseases ;

  • PROVISION ;

  • validity and death ;

  • unemployment and family allowances....
