Staple (or rivet nail) ;Staple

U-shaped fastener made of round or square wire with two legs, usually of equal length and blunt, joined at the top.

Bleuissement ; Blue stain

Discoloration caused by a fungus, varying in intensity from blue to black, initially affecting the sapwood of certain hardwood and softwood species, without causing any appreciable change in consistency or mechanical properties. Wood affected by blue stain is said to be "bluish".
