1. Production system components

When you enter an industrial plant or, more generally, a structure whose operation relies on technical installations, you quickly realize that there are three fundamental elements that make up the essence of the system in question.

1.1 Product

The raison d'être of the system we call "productive" is to supply a material product or a service. This "product" is known even before you enter the premises, and it's common for the first sight of a factory to be the showroom, where visitors can see all the company's know-how. The demands of today's markets require the product in question to comply with certain specifications, while respecting the classic criteria of cost and lead time. Without these two elements, the product would not exist.
