Logging

Shutting down a portion of a circuit so that you can work on it safely.

Generic

Qualifies an event likely to occur on all slices of the same family (Bearing, Park).

Bearing

A family of "standardized" units, designed, built and operated in virtually identical fashion.

Park

All units belonging to the same operator or installed in the same country (in this article, capitalized Parc refers to the French nuclear fleet).

Tranche

A stand-alone power generation facility; a PWR-type nuclear unit comprises a nuclear part (the "reactor" or "boiler") and a non-nuclear (or "conventional") part.
