5. Predictive preventive maintenance methods
Predictive preventive maintenance is conducted based on forecasts derived from repeated analyses and known characteristics, as well as assessments of significant parameters for asset degradation. The primary objectives of predictive maintenance are to predict when equipment failures may occur and to prevent these failures through timely maintenance. According to ISO 13381, the aim is "the estimation of the duration of operation before failure and the risk of the existence or subsequent occurrence of one or more failure modes".
