4. Future research
Although 3D printing of polymer composites has seen significant developments in recent years, it is still not widely accepted by most industrial sectors. Several limitations specific to this technology need to be overcome:
material: the application of 3D printing is severely limited by the printable materials available. At present, only thermoplastic polymers with low glass transition temperatures and suitable melt viscosities, materials in powder form and a few photopolymers can be used in 3D printing. However, these materials cannot meet all the requirements of industrial applications, so they need to be diversified.
