1. General principles of gas-assisted injection processes

Broadly speaking, there are three main processes:

  • partial filling ;

  • Filling using a feeder;

  • filling, with the material being forced into the sleeve.

But there are also derivative applications

  • filling with mobile core;

  • gas injection for compacting aspect parts ;

  • external gas injection ;

  • injection of hyper-cooled gas;

  • simplified tooling.

But the gas-assisted injection process can also be combined with a number of other processes.
