5. Conclusion

Plastic injection molding machines, and more specifically their functions and the constructive solutions adopted to realize them, have undergone continuous evolution, in line with the techniques available, in particular manufacturing and outsourcing techniques, and the evolution, indeed the continuous revolution, linked to digital techniques.

The trends already underway in terms of Factory 4.0, in particular in the form of process monitoring and tracking of machinery, recycling and energy optimization, can only accelerate under the pressure of standards coupled with economic dynamics.
