3. Process improvement

Technological advances have been implemented in industrial settings to improve process control and the quality of injection-molded parts:

  • controlling foam expansion to achieve the highest possible expansion ratio without compromising the final properties of the product. To this end, a process involving the opening of the mold at the end of the filling cycle (core-back) has been introduced.

  • improving the surface finish of parts produced by pressurizing the cavity before filling.
