Life cycle assessment (LCA); Analyse de cycle de vie (ACV)

Compilation and evaluation of the inputs, outputs and potential environmental impacts of a product system over its life cycle.

Upgradeability

A product feature that allows individual modules to be upgraded or replaced independently, without the need to replace the entire product. Replacing a physical or software component with a better or more recent version ensures its upgrading.

Artifact; artifact

Formed from the Latin ars, artis (art) and the past participle of facere (to make), then borrowed from the English artefact, this term designates, in one of its many meanings, "that which is made by a human being, an artificial product".
