4. Conclusion

Developments in polymer stabilizer technology will continue to be particularly dynamic in the years ahead, with the emergence of new, ever more effective and innovative structures. The need for thermal and photochemical stabilizers will continue to grow and keep pace with the evolution of polymers in the following areas of development:

  • steadily increasing demand for polymers that replace wood and metals ;

  • increased demand for recycled polymers (greater need for stabilization for these more degraded polymers) ;

  • development of more crystalline polymers with higher high-temperature resistance for use at high temperatures (replacing metals and ceramics);

  • growing demand for high-modulus filled polymers for automotive applications (higher temperatures...
