 INTRODUCTION

Thermoplastics are rarely used without additives. In fact, all the properties required for the finished object call for a skilful dosage of additives with specific action. The adjuvant which increases the flexibility of the polymer is a plasticizer, as defined in ISO 472 (1988) Plastics. Vocabulary is as follows.

Plasticizer: a substance of low or negligible volatility, incorporated into a plastic to lower its softening range, facilitate processing and increase flexibility or extensibility.
