1. Main properties, limits of use and application

The main properties of PPE/PS are as follows:

  • dimensional stability ;

  • resistance to hydrolysis ;

  • Resistant to a wide range of temperatures, from - 55 °C to + 130 °C ;

  • good mechanical properties, rigidity, impact resistance, scratch resistance ;

  • natural self-extinguishing, without additives ;

  • good electrical properties.

The limits of use of PPE/PS are as follows:

  • low UV resistance ;

  • poor resistance to aromatics, premium fuels and solvents ;
