2.1 Preliminary remarks

Measuring the properties of glass reinforcement fibers is a fairly complex issue, which requires some preliminary comments.

Certain properties, which cannot be measured directly on filaments but only on bulk glass, do not take into account various transformations related to fiber formation, and the values found should therefore be considered approximate.
