INTRODUCTION
The structure of continuous filament glass mats is based on the assembly, in one plane, of a large number of continuous (uncut) glass filaments, which are joined together in the form of threads, enabling them to be wound and delivered in the form of rolls.
The range of this product allows it to be used specifically with virtually all thermosetting resins.
It can be molded in a continuous or discontinuous process for a wide range of applications:
translucent corrugated sheets for the building (see photo § 3);
large side panel skins for refrigerated trucks ;
insulation foam reinforcement ;
elements molded by pultrusion or liquid resin injection (see photo § 1),
and other more specific applications.
Finally, continuous filament matting can be used for preforming technology.
