5. Auxiliary equipment

The integration of auxiliary equipment in an injection molding unit for plastic or elastomer parts, and the connection of its control system to that of the injection molding machine, can present dangerous situations due to :

  • phenomena related to the operation of peripheral equipment;

  • phenomena linked to the injection molding machine, which may undergo modifications to meet installation requirements.

The following are the general safety measures relating to the interaction of the machine with peripheral equipment, as set out in chapter 5.4
