4. Biodegradability

For all the test methods described in this section, please note that the substances with which samples are brought into contact (wastewater, activated sludge, suspended solids in soil, compost) may contain potentially pathogenic organisms. They should therefore be handled in compliance with safety instructions and using protective equipment.
