3. Light-curing resins
Most photo-initiated polymerizations are chain reactions in which an initial active center is responsible for the formation of the polymer chain. Two categories of photopolymerization reactions can be distinguished, depending on the mechanism involved and the nature of the active species, which are either radicals or cations.
