4. Estimate the impact of non-compliance on products and/or services

At this point, the question is no longer "metrological", but "functional". You have demonstrated that the metrological non - quality of one (or more) of your measurement processes may have led to :

  • bad decisions (on process settings, with a particular risk for special processes whose consequences may be neither visible nor detectable in the short term; on the acceptance/rejection of batches, customers or suppliers);

  • produce dubious test or analysis results, the impact of which may be difficult for you to assess, as these results are used by your customers in contexts over which you may have little control.
