1. What information should you provide regarding your new supplier?

Before making a decision, you should gather various details about your prospective supplier and the chemicals they will be providing:

  • the supplier's name and country (indicating whether it is a distributor);

  • the main identification numbers for the substances in your products (e.g., CAS number, EC number [ELINCS or EINECS], chemical name);

  • if it is a mixture, the percentage of each substance present; in fact, each substance in the mixture must be considered individually;

  • the quantity in tons that you wish to obtain from this supplier for each substance, either on its own or as part of a mixture;

  • a brief description of how you and your customers use the substance.
