This second step consists in identifying the hazard potential of the chemicals stored and handled. It is essential to read chemical SDSs carefully, as they provide interesting information on the hazard potential of chemicals.
We distinguish :
hazard potentials associated with chemical products ;
hazard potentials associated with chemical reactions.
It is useful to locate these potential hazards on a floor plan.
A table listing the physical and chemical properties of the products will be created, such as the one below:
