6. Conclusion

The authors have reconstructed the sequence of key events leading up to the drafting of the proposed regulation and the ensuing negotiations between the Commission, Council and Parliament. By reading publicly available documents –, in particular the – dossier, it emerges that the procedures and content relating to artificial intelligence came from less than half a dozen of the twenty-eight Member States represented on the Machinery Expert Group ( – MEG).
