4. Discover the obligations associated with using a substance in the manufacture of an article

As a manufacturer of articles, you may be subject to two legal obligations if an SVHC substance is one of the constituents of your article:

  • an obligation to provide information;

  • an obligation to notify ECHA.

4.1 Obligation to provide information

Without delay from the date of inclusion on the candidate list, suppliers of articles containing one or more substances on the candidate list in a concentration greater than or equal to 0.1% (weight/weight) must provide customers, upon request and within 45 days, with sufficient information to enable the safe use of that article.
