4. Apply the sanction system and have it applied by management
In the event of an accident, the employer may be considered to be at fault if :
dangerous work was not immediately stopped;
an employee's failure to comply with a safety rule has been established and has not been the subject of reminders or sanctions.
These shortcomings also rely on the immediate supervision of workers, who must be trained and supported by the employer, including in the case of dangerous work stoppages.
Pressure on work rates and productivity must not be an obstacle to compliance with safety instructions, including the wearing of PPE. Except in cases of repeated abuse, work stoppages due to dangerous situations must not be punished.
