4. Our advice

4.1 Regularly test your crisis management plan

A crisis involves stress, and it is likely that the people who have to manage it will not be in full possession of their resources when it occurs. To prepare as well as possible, and to reduce the stress of the situation on the day the crisis unit is actually triggered, it is important to carry out exercises based on likely scenarios.

A crisis management exercise every six months will give the crisis team a better grasp of the manual and enable them to get to grips with this type of situation. This way, in the event of a real crisis, the players will be used to this kind of situation and will be better able to deal with the gravity of the situation.
