CFD refers to the study of fluid dynamics by numerically solving the governing equations. The term encompasses a wide variety of approaches adapted to different flow phenomena. By extension, CFD software refers to software that enables the study of (possibly reactive) fluid dynamics by numerically solving the governing equations.
