5. Conclusion

The information gathered in this article constitutes a technical basis for a pertinent analysis of the risk of gas explosion in a confined environment in an industrial installation. The application of this knowledge to the prevention of gas explosions and the protection of installations constitutes both a technical and a regulatory field.

From a technical point of view, the formation of flammable gaseous phases that could explode and cause damage must be avoided.
